I worked on this piece as I embarked upon the transformation of the butterfly as inspiration through my recent graduate school experience in learning adaptive leadership in University of Washington’s Executive Masters of Public Administration program. As I struggled to make sense of the senselessness of recent challenges that our society faces.

I completed this piece shortly after graduation, celebrating the completion of this particular phase of my development to learn to fully lead and inspire others by first learning to lead myself – through a process I have outlined in my book, “Natural Self Discovery,” PAUSE, REFLECT, RESPOND – mostly through attaching our thinking processes more into the creative process and the intelligence of the natural world.
