Humpback

One line drawings are my practice in simplicity and minimalism. Attempting to create a likeness and feeling with just one continuous line can be harder than it looks. The diverse animals of San Juan Island were the influence for a series of one line drawings to capture the beautiful animals that surround me. Although a rarer glimpse, Humpback Whales can be seen swimming throughout the San Juan islands and in the straights surrounding it. They are known for doing ariel tricks, breaching often. Here we see a tail as it pokes out from the sea.
